Standard at barbershops in 2026 is 15 to 20 percent, or $5 minimum on a basic cut. On a $40 haircut that is $6 to $8. Cash is easier for us than card, since card transactions carry a 2.5% service charge. No pressure either way.
Depends on the cut. A tight fade or a skin fade starts losing its edges around two to three weeks. A longer or textured style holds four to six. If you are growing it out, come in for a cleanup rather than a cut. Ask your barber what your cut needs and they will tell you straight.
Bring a photo, but talk through it too. Tell us how much time you want to spend on it in the morning, whether you part it, and what you did not like about your last cut. A photo shows the finish. It does not show your hairline, your cowlick, or how your hair actually grows. The conversation is what gets you the cut.
Yes. Talk to your barber about the style you want and they will help you figure out what works. Scissor only, clipper work, or a mix, it depends on the cut and your hair.
Come in clean and dry if you can. Day old hair is fine. Skip the product on the day of your cut, since heavy pomade has to come out before we can see what your hair is actually doing. For the barber's sake don't come in straight from the gym.
Yes. Tell us at the start so we can account for shrinkage and cut accordingly. Curly hair behaves differently wet than dry and that changes how it gets cut. For styling it after, Styling Gel Pomade is the one for curls. Apply to damp hair, diffuse or air dry, and it holds the curl pattern.
Yes. There are cuts that work with your density instead of against it, and there are products that add texture and lift at the roots without weighing anything down. Clay Pomadeis the one we reach for on fine or thinning hair.
Yes, if there is a chair free. Weekends fill up, sobooking aheadis the safer bet.
