Will This Styling Gel Pomade Work for You?
Most hair, yes. What changes is how wet your hair is when you put it in.
Curly or wavy hair. This is where it works the best. Apply to soaking wet hair and scrunch upward. It defines the curl pattern and holds it without frizz.
Straight, thick or coarse hair. Towel dried hair for the most control. The drier the hair, the stronger it holds.
Coming off a drugstore gel. This one does not harden into your hair. It holds firm and stays touchable, and wet fingers bring it right back.
New to gel pomade. It is a hybrid, somewhere between a gel and a water soluble pomade. Start with less than you would use of either.
If you want a dry matte finish, this is not the one. This one shines.

How to Use
Scoop a pea sized amount and emulsify it between your palms until it turns clear and smooth.
Work it through from roots to ends with your fingers. Shape it with a comb if you want it cleaner.
Straight or thick hair. Towel dried hair for the most hold and shine. The drier the hair, the stronger it holds.
Curly or wavy hair. Damp hair, scrunch upward, then diffuse or air dry. Let it dry all the way before you touch it.
Need more hold? Add a little on top and work it in.
Wet your fingers to reshape it later in the day. The hold comes back.
Pro Tips
Want less shine? Put it in first, then blow dry on medium heat while you shape with a brush or comb. Knocks the shine down to a natural finish and sets the hold at the same time.
Break the cast. On curls, once it is fully dry, scrunch gently with your hands. The hard cast breaks and you are left with soft, defined curls that still hold.
Slick backs. Damp hair, comb straight back, then hit it with a blow dryer on low while you keep the comb moving. Sets fast and holds tight.
Use it as a base. Put this in first, blow dry, then finish with Clay or Water Soluble on top. You get the gel's hold underneath with the finish you want on the surface.

Polyquaternium-69 and PVP. The hold. This pair is what gives you extra strong grip without the crunch or flaking you get out of a traditional gel.
Glycerin. Holds moisture in the hair through the day. This is the one that matters most on curls, where dry hair is what turns into frizz.
PEG-40 hydrogenated castor oil and polysorbate-20. Spread the formula evenly across each strand for a clean shine instead of a greasy one.
